We will highlight alumni and future alumni. In addition to department highlights, we will recognize research accomplishments, funding and the dissemination of scholarly activities by our faculty members. Department of Rehabilitation Sciences We exalt in the accomplishments of a noted scientist who is recognized for her work that enables infants with developmental disabilities to learn movement patterns to enhance their mobility. Department of Nutritional Sciences We share with you the exciting opportunities for students who have traveled to OU-Arezzo in Tuscany, Italy, to experience hands-on learning about the Mediterranean diet.
Department of Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences We describe the benefits of a partnership with the Oklahoma City Zoo enabling students to gain unique experiences in CT scanning of a variety of animals. For example: Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders We focus on a faculty member using eye movements by children with Autism Spectrum Disorders to understand central information processing and determine better interventions for their treatment and management.
Activities from each of the departments, activities by students, and contributions by faculty and staff are highlighted in this issue. Indeed, we desire for this to be the preferred venue for all things good from the college and its departments, which we hope you will enjoy, and anticipate seeing in the future.
